Machines, processes, devices, compositions of matter

Patent Registration Process in Nepal:

  1. File patent application with detailed specifications
  2. Examination by DOI
  3. Publication for opposition
  4. Grant of patent certificate

Required Documents:

  1. Patent specification and claims
  2. Technical drawings (if applicable)
  3. Citizenship/company documents
  4. Power of Attorney

Validity:

Patents in Nepal are valid for 7 years, renewable up to 2 times (max 21 years).
