Step 1: Download & Install the Nagarik App

Download the app from:

  • Play Store (Android) or
  • App Store (iOS)

  • Enter your mobile number and verify using the OTP (One Time Password) sent to your phone.
  • If you are a new user, the app will ask for your name, date of birth, and citizenship number to create your profile.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

  • The app automatically verifies your details with the National ID database (based on your citizenship info).
  • If your details match, your identity will be verified instantly.

Step 4: Open the PAN Registration Section

  • On the home screen, tap “PAN Registration” under the Tax Services or Revenue section.
  • This redirects you to the Inland Revenue Department portal inside the app.

Step 5: Select Your Tax Office

  • Choose your nearest or most convenient IRD (Taxpayer) Office from the dropdown list.

Example: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Biratnagar, etc.

Step 6: Fill in Your Personal Details

Enter your:

  • Full Name (as per citizenship)
  • Date of Birth
  • Father’s and Mother’s Name
  • Permanent & Temporary Address
  • Occupation or Employment Type
